The sand dune is beautiful, but was a long walk up a hill to get back from the beach. The campsites are large. There are no lights in the bathrooms, so bring a torch/flashlight. The showers are a disappointment. There are only four, far too few for how large of camp, and they cost $1/about five minutes. The camp store is small, the kids enjoyed the slush drinks, but they are expensive for the size.

In my childhood, we used to come here often, loving to climb the sand hills. This year after many years, I decided to camp there. I was the only one camping in the area I was in but there were many seasonal campers. The hills were disappointing as there was only I large hill left but it was fun climbing up. There was virtually no beach. There were swarms of insects so I didn't stay out long.

Beautiful scenery. The price point is high for the amenities offered. With a little investment into their facilities and power to camp sites they may be able to warrant the price they charge. Until this time there is better value elsewhere for the price.

    The shower situation is unacceptable.

I've been visiting this park since I was about six years old. I don't often camp here, I come for the beach. It's easy to forget you are in Canada when you are here.

Beautiful campground and friendly people. I went camping for August long weekend and had a blast. We were able to fit 2 large tents and a camper trailer all on one site with there still being room to play lawn games and such. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Being at this campground was a very great experience, we got to climb the Sandhills, watch the water and sunsets from high above the water and we also got to feed and pet the elks they have as well as the goats and with a windmill farm being right next store is just amazing! The water was beautiful! I recommend this camp to everyone. The only problems with this camp is there is no lights in the bathrooms. I'm not quite sure why all these people have such bad reviews but I guess people like to talk more about the bad things rather than the good :)

Overall if the employees had been more friendly/helpful, they would have gotten a higher review. We asked two different employees about rides to and from the beach, but were given incorrect information. I received a lecture for driving 12km/hour instead of 10km/hour, this situation could have been handled more professionally. (Yes I was going too fast, so maybe I did deserve to be yelled at and belittled.)
